Discover SCUBA is an introductory course that gives the student just a taste of what it's like to dive. This class offers one hour of poolside training and one hour of water training at a fraction of the cost of a full class.  This way you can test drive your SCUBA class.

Open Water SCUBA is the first certification for all divers, young or old.  This is where you learn the basic concepts, equipment uses, and limitations of each dive. Students are required to pass a swim test and provide their own mask, fins, snorkel, and/or booties.

Nitrox diving is the use of oxygen enriched air that increases a divers bottom time at different depths. Divers must be trained in a classroom and pass a written exam.  Classes are 2-3 hours and there are no dives required for this specialty.  But hey why take a dive class and not get a dive out of it.  That's why we take you out and let you check it out with one of our staff members.

The beginnings of Advanced Open Water courses are the Adventure Dives.  Divers can test out different specialties and see which ones they prefer.  These dives can be counted toward that specialty or towards the AOW course.

Advanced Open Water is there for the diver who wants to go deeper, dive longer, and check out more stuff.  It requires 5 dives, three are your choice, one navigation dive, and one deep dive greater than 70'. Most dive charters require AOW to go to deeper wrecks.

Check out our list of Specialty Courses offered from 418 Dive Training Center. Diver Propulsion Vehicle, Drysuit, Search and Recovery, Navigation, and the list goes on and on and on.

In this class you will learn advanced safety procedures and rescue techniques used by dive professionals around the world. Requirements for this class include a sim assesment, classroom and pool work, and open water dives with rescue scenarios.

This is the first level of professional diving and the beginning of a life long career in the waters around your area.  Once this course is completed, divers will be capable of leading other certified divers on excursions around the world. And PADI Certified Divemasters are recognized world wide.
